The Shanghai office was established in 1993, one of the first British law firms to be granted a licence to practise in this dynamic commercial and maritime centre. We have strong connections in China and considerable experience in providing clients with practical and legal advice and assistance in the PRC.
Richard Kimber, assisted by Nick Francis, heads a strong team of ten which includes Chen Zhensheng, a former senior judge of the Shanghai Maritime Court, Sophie An, our Head of Corporate who is bilingual in Chinese/Japanese, and six local assistants. We are able to conduct business in English, Mandarin, Shanghainese, Japanese and French.
