Envisioning the future of msg·art [China ~ USA], we offer compelling exhibitions of international contemporary art. Our aim is to reach beyond borders for culturally significant and thought provoking experiences.
The gallery space in Shanghai was designed by David Mocarski, West Coast inter-disciplinary designer and faculty chair of Art Center College of Design (1978).
The operation will be led from Shanghai by gallery co-founder and partner Jamie Sobieski. The three level building includes two feature spaces, an artist in residence program, and an in-house publishing department.
msg·art Los Angeles is located at 40 Mills Place in Pasadena, California; the historic Old Town area. The gallery was established in 1988 and consists of three exhibition spaces in this 100 year old historic factory building with shows changing monthly. With a history of contemporary pop-sureal, the gallery’s range of extends from the exhibition and sale of 20th Century American and European paintings, drawings, and limited edition prints to coordinating and assisting in museum shows and tours.
We look forward to bringing exciting contemporary art from the Asian continent and offer an open invitation to visit msg·art Shanghai/ Los Angeles.
Artists represented include, Bill Barminski, Squeak Carnwath, Sean Cheetham, Michael Hussar, Robert LaDuke, Jacob Magraw-Mickelson, R. Kenton Nelson, Ray Richardson, Mark Ryden, Robert Williams, and Donald Roller Wilson. |
