Wanted: Mandarin/Putonghua teacher
Posted by roaringred (451 days ago)
I will be arriving in Shanghai early October and wish to study Mandarin/Putonghua full time while I am there (4 to 6 weeks). Anybody out there know of good teachers? They don't have to be professionally trained, just patient and able to teach me the basics. I will pay reasonable rates. Many thanks. David

Hi, I don't know if you've already found your Chinese teacher. I'm a native Chinese speaker with standard Mandarin pronunciation. I'm well-experienced in teaching foreigners Chinese. My students include Japanese, French, American, and two HK boys who had no knowledge of Mandarin. I taught a Japanese lady living in Hong Qiao area for 2-3 years. I design my lessons to cater for different levels of Chinese learners. I focus on interaction and oral practice in my class. If you are interested, please contact me via my email zhoufw04@hotmail.com. Thank you!

I am coming to Shanghai this Sunday 2 November for 2 weeks and would like individual conversation in the weekday mornings. I did a degree in Chinese many years ago in London. Studying 'Teach Yourself Chinese' books it is starting to come back. I would welcome any suggestions about teachers or conversation partners.
