CELTA

I'm considering coming to Shanghai to teach.
Thinking in attending CELTA course there too before I begin in order to have better chance in finding a job (I already have Certificate IV in TESOL). Is it a good idea to begin with? Does any one have experience with CELTA in China? Is it worthy it?

Judging from the grammar and use of idiom in your ad, maybe you should improve your written English before you consider a CELTA

Your comment is neither helpful or intelligent. Most people do not spell check or worry aboutr grammar in forum postings. They save it for the classroom or other FORMAL methods of communication.

CELTA is not needed, or for that matter particularly valued by most traning companies in Shanghai.
I don't have a CELTA certificate, and my TEFL training has not been used really. Most of the training outfits in Shanghai use thier own materials. These are their selling point. Unless you particulaty want to work in a state school, you will not be required to produce lesson plans, and even then they have a set curriculum.
