Budget dorm in central Shanghai that is quiet, cheap and full of perks
best budget accomodation (hostel/dormitory/Chinese alternative) in Shanghai that has excellent location close to Subway and is in a relatively central part of town (thought the latter isn't crucial). Also is cheap enough to stay for days on end (50RMB or less) and the most important part, is void of heavy backpacker traffic.
By this, I mean a dorm that is not overun with travellers causing noise, keeping the lights on, hogging the bathroom, etc...
Right now, I'm staying in a dorm in a Chinese IYH (not catering to backpackers exclusivley) in Chaoyong district of Beijing (Sunny Youth hostel) it's called. For 60RMB/night, I have a whole dorm to myself (with not a peep from anyone) on my floor, full 24hour internet access in my room (cable plugin) and free laundry and kitchen facilities to make food.
The place has no foreigners (only myself) and the odd couple (but they never go for the dorms).
Long story short, is there something similar in Shanghai you guys know a bit about that falls under any of the above criteria?
