is it ok to have a cat in an apt in shanghai if not mentioned in the lease?
very low-end (kind of) serviced apt.

Cats are generally not to much of a problem. The only time we've had problems is in high end serviced apartments that have quality furnishings. They are concerned the cats will scratch and damage the furnishings and they will also have to pay quite a bit to get the furniture cleaned after the tenant checks out.

If your cat is well behaved and isn't likely to shed lots of fur then it shouldn't be too much of a problem. You can always plead ignorance!!

I doubt if they would make to much of an issue as long as there isn't damage to the apartment.
