I searched through the thread and found AD Domus.... does anyone have an address?

Any other suggestions? I am craving for some nice linguine con vongles!

AT MOMENT WE HAVE MANY CHOICE OF ITALIAN RESTAURANT I WENT ALMOST ALL OF THEM ,MANY SUFFERED FOR KEPPING STANDARDS BUT I AGREEIN THAT THE AD DOMUS STILLTHE SAME FOR MANY YEARS BECAUSE THE CHEF OWNER STILL THE SAME

the chef of this fantastic restaurant is ANTONIO DONNALOIA(AD),FURTHER MORE i is the first italian and western chef in china since 1990,and i opened the first italian restaurant in shanghai in 1991 at westin hotel (now sherathon grand).After left westin ,wich was executive for 7 years i opened the first hight class italian restaurant outside 5 star hotel

One of Shanghai's best kept Italian food secrets is COLABO at 156 Fenyang lu. I've been there almost twice a month since i moved to shanghai a year ago.

It's located in beautiful secluded villa in the French Concession just above Dragon club. They have an incredibly cheap set lunch menu and authentic italian dinner menu using all imported ingredients. best thing about them is the all-you-can-drink fine wine for 100 rmb on Friday and Saturday nights. Thank me later...

Pam, its right near Hengshan lu in the French Concession. the nearest metros are Hengshan lu and Changshu lu on line 1. check their website for more info eg.colabo.cn

i think probabily casanova is a really good choice,the service is good and you feel for a moment far from the noisy shanghai.Great and rare sensation!
Also the huge portion of da marco by the way

the casanova's advertising agency is really bad, huh? what are you doing here? posting ad at same time? haha~

anyway, I think colabo will be a nice place for classy meal. especially when you feel like eating luxury meal in a luxury place. the garden is really beautiful.

Let's cook it ourselves, guys and girls. I can cook many Italian dishes, - so can you - get a decent cookbook. Save the high cost of Shanghai Italian restaurants, and you determine the ambience in your home. Do a simple chicken cacciatore, and good bottle of red, and put a Fellini flick on the DVD. And save 600kuai.

I`ve been here a while in China and I have to say that I`m finally happy to have found a nice italian restaurant: The Kitchen Salvatore Cuomo, however not the cheapest and always fully booked so make your resevations on time.....
