Still Hopeful for a Wife

Last year I put an ad in That’s Shanghai, looking for a girl to make my wife. I met a few girls and really fell for one in particular. I didn’t fall for her because she was beautiful or sexy, actually she was not beautiful or sexy. But she was so smart and so much fun to be with. She always found the bright side and it made me fall in love with her. We dated a short while then she moved in with me. Life was great. I looked so forward to coming home to her every evening. It didn’t matter to me that she would not sleep with me. There wasn’t anything I wouldn’t do for her. Like for example she had this really nasty rash on her feet. It was some kind of fungus that caused her skin to blister and peel, especially between the toes. Every night I would wash her feet with antiseptic soap and ointment. She felt so grateful and I really didn’t mind the smell too much or when she’d kick soap in my eyes. What a kidder she was. She cooked a little but it wasn’t that good. Sometimes she wouldn’t even eat it. But I ate it and said I loved it. Once I think she bought some old chicken and it gave me food poisoning. I was sick in bed for 4 days and missed her terribly. She went to stay with her girlfriend while I was sick because I was disturbing her with my moans and groans. But she came back later, I loved her for that even more. I still can’t stand the sight of a chicken wing. But if she were here now, I would eat anything she made. But she’s not here anymore. She had to go back home to take care of her father. He had a terrible accident and needed emergency surgery. It was very expensive and he needs constant care during his recovery. I was so glad I could help the family financially through their troubles. She had a good idea that instead of giving her cash, I gave her my credit card. That way she didn’t have to worry about someone stealing her cash while she was asleep on the airplane. That was more than a year ago. She would message me at least once a week at first but not so much now. I called her pretty often but now her cell phone number does not work. She’s probably spending all her money on her father’s care and can’t afford the cell phone bill. What a great girl she is. Now the only contact I have with her is when I get the monthly credit card bills. Wow, her father must really need a lot of special treatment because I see charges from all over the world. Must be medical specialists. But now I am lonely again and looking for someone. If you would like to hook up with a regular guy, give me a note and a self addressed stamped envelope. I’ll send you my credit card. But seriously, now that you have taken the time to read this long silly message, if you think you would like to meet a guy who does not mind making fun of himself and has a tongue-in-cheek sense of humor, let me know.

You can never go back

I lived in Shanghai a few years ago and had a wonderful girlfriend.
